Tori Katsu Sando
The Tori Katsu Sando is a fantastic sandwich , filled with Tori Katsu, the chicken version of the unsurpassed Tonkatsu - click on the link to read all about how to prepare the Tonkatsu , and you can flawlessly apply this to the chicken version (see also tips).
To make a sandwich out of it, first of all we are going to use so-called sandwich bread (sometimes also called toast bread or mie bread). This bread, which I never use, is very suitable here, because it gives a pleasant texture that contrasts with the crunchiness of the Tori Katsu. We also use the tonkatsu sauce , of course, and we complete the filling with finely chopped white cabbage . Personally, I like to put the sandwich between the panini machine for a minute or two, but that's not a must.

Using the surplus of the tonkatsu sauce as a dip is of course a nice bonus !

Hint

Depending on the thickness and texture you want for your Tori Katsu, you can cut the chicken fillets in half and use it like that, or use a hammer or rolling pin to tenderize the entire chicken fillet (to about one centimeter thick). Both versions are tasty, it's just a matter of personal preference, so go for it! For the rest you just follow the same recipe as the Tonkatsu.
